Overview and acceptance
These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of the Can 2 Curb website and bin valet service ("service") provided by Can 2 Curb ("Can 2 Curb", "we", "us", or "our") in Edmonton, Alberta. By requesting, signing up for, or using our service, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our service. Legal entity name TBD
About our service
Can 2 Curb is a bin valet service. Before your collection day, we move your designated bins from their usual location to the curb, and after collection we return them to their spot.
Can 2 Curb is not a garbage collection company. We do not collect, empty, haul, or dispose of waste. The City of Edmonton performs all waste, recycling, food scraps, and yard-waste collection. Our service is limited to moving your bins between your property and the curb.
Service area
We currently serve Edmonton, Alberta. Availability is confirmed per address, because coverage varies by neighbourhood as we grow.
To check whether we serve your address, use the Check My Address tool or contact us. Exact service-area boundaries are still being finalized. Coverage boundaries TBD
Scheduling and access
To provide the service reliably, we rely on the information you give us. You agree to:
- Provide an accurate service address and collection schedule;
- Give clear, accurate access instructions (for example, gate codes, where bins are stored, and any pets or hazards);
- Make sure your bins are accessible to us on service days and not blocked, locked away, or obstructed; and
- Let us know promptly if your schedule, access, or bin location changes.
If we cannot safely access your bins because of inaccurate instructions or blocked access, we may be unable to complete the service that day. Missed-access handling TBD
Weather and safety
We plan to operate through Edmonton's seasons, including winter. However, during severe or unsafe conditions — such as extreme cold, ice storms, or heavy snow — service may be delayed or adjusted so our team and your property stay safe.
We do not guarantee service in dangerous conditions. When conditions make service unsafe, we follow an operational weather policy that is still being finalized. Weather policy TBD

These terms will be confirmed before your service begins. Pause, change & cancellation terms TBD Refund/credit terms TBD
Customer responsibilities
To help us serve you well, you agree to:
- Keep your account and access information accurate and up to date;
- Ensure bins are prepared and reasonably accessible on service days;
- Follow the City of Edmonton's rules for what goes in each bin and how bins are prepared for collection;
- Provide a safe route and environment for our team; and
- Treat our team respectfully.
Limitation of liability
We take care when handling your bins. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Can 2 Curb's liability arising from the service is limited [e.g. to the amount you paid for the service in the period the issue arose], and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.
This section contains placeholders only and must be drafted and confirmed by a qualified professional. Liability limits TBD — professional review required
Not responsible for City collection outcomes
Because the City of Edmonton performs the actual collection, matters that are within the City's control are not something Can 2 Curb can guarantee or be responsible for. These include, for example:
- Missed or delayed City pickups;
- Bins rejected or not emptied due to contamination, overfilling, or prohibited items; and
- Changes to City collection schedules, routes, or rules.
Our responsibility is limited to moving your bins to the curb and back as arranged. Scope confirmation TBD
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above. If the changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to let affected customers know. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are intended to be governed by the laws of the [Province of Alberta, Canada], and any disputes are intended to be handled in that jurisdiction. This is a placeholder pending confirmation. Governing law & jurisdiction TBD — confirm
